Long time, no see!

Um, hello. It’s been a while hasn’t it!? Before I launch off into the past week+ of escapades, I must say: a) thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the comments on my last post. I haven’t been able to reply to anywhere near all of them, but I always always read [...]

Lara Croft

Mile 1 – 8.29 Mile 2 – 8.01 Mile 3 – 7.51 As I was coming to the end of mile 3 however, I just felt so ace – I was loving every second, I was fast and strong, and so I decided to do another mile :-p Mile 4 – 7.43 Before I knew it, my 4th mile turned into a 5th mile too! … I have no idea what that tastes like cos I can’t slice into a loaf meant for other people to taste…but fingers crossed it’s good :-) After that, I was planning on making Dreena’s Eat, Drink & Be Vegan oatmeal raisin cookies (my go-to oatmeal raisin cookie recipe) but then a whole bunch of phone calls, CVs, phone interviews and job stuff happened – in summary, I’m going to an assessment centre next Wednesday in London for one job [after a big old phone interview I had!], and have an interview with another the following Monday!!

The Parsnip Famine

Take today’s lunch – I forbade myself from eating any parsnips (being saved for dinner), so instead I had a stir fry, made of: – Gran-grown beets, gran-grown swiss chard, non-gran-grown-wrinkly-needed-eating yellow pepper, non-gran-grown courgette, all with soy sauce and a bit of agave nectar. … It’s just a case of blend, so I figured it wouldn’t take two mins :-) The only changes I made to her recipe, was that I used flagelot beans, subbed in pumpkin puree for the sweet potato (the last of what was in my can) and almond butter instead of cashew.
