That FAQ Page

I’ll be doing a post shortly for FAQ, so start gathering your thoughts now :) In the meantime, if you have a question in desperate need of answering, or are the shy and retiring type who does not wish to be identified, head over to the ‘Ask Me Anything’ page – totally anonymous :)

1) Will you/have you ever competed in British Dressage?

I competed with BD for 3years with Chika – we went to three Regional Finals (novice restricted, novice open, 2 x elementary restricted) and even got 8th place in the elementary restricted at the last one we did :) I think Chika and I got about 200+ points, though I can hardly remember now…

2)What would be your top 3 marathons you’d like to run in your lifetime?

Marine Corps, Washington DC again – so I can do it RIGHT!

New York – cos it’s NYC!

And…hmm…I’m not sure about the 3rd. I want to do Abingdon this October, but that’s not a ‘lifetime’ one. I’m not sure yet :P

3) Favourite breed of dog?

I like ones that look like Huskey dogs, or wolves :P Alsations, and Corgis…there are lots I like!

4) How do you roast your veggies?

Oh boy – cut into small chunks along with a few cloves of garlic, season, spray with … spray (!), coat with cinnamon and seasoned salt (or cocoa powder, agave and cinnamon, or agave, wholegrain mustard, dried thyme and pepper…there are SO many variations!), then roast, stirring after 10mins and spraying if they’re drying out. I usually let them roast for 20-25mins, or until soft when stabbed with a knife :)

5) Who is your favourite hottie male actor?

Right now – Channing Tatum! But it changes all the time. Hugh Jackman is right up there, as is Arnold Schwarzenegger (circa 1990)…I like the pumped men :p

6) What’s your favourite way to drink coffee?

I LOVE a Starbucks cappuccino! They’re my guilty pleasure :P

7) Will you start showing Chika again?

I’m not sure…we spent 3 or 4 years competing SO much, and there was a lorra pressure – it’s kinda nice to just chill and do whatever. But who knows! When I graduate this summer, I might want to get back out there :P

8) Why did you choose to go vegan?

Mainly ethics, partly health, partly for me…the last one is hard to explain, but this Portia de Rossi quote sums it up nicely:

‘While I have never felt more healthy and energized, the most important thing that happened to me when I stopped eating animals was a sense of connectedness. When I was suffering from an eating disorder, my life was solely about me. I was living through my ego. My decision not to eat animals anymore was paramount to my growth as a spiritual person. It made me feel like I was contributing to making the world better and that I was connected to everything around me. Healing comes from love. And loving every living thing in turn helps you love yourself.”

On #3: awwww I had a huskey! Her name was Sasha, she was black and white with ice blue eyes; people were often intimidated by her wolfish apperance, but she was such a love.
