Hi, I have recently stumbled across your blog and I absolutely love it! I have just started trying to eat healthily but tend to get stuck when I’m doing my shopping in the supermarket because there don’t seem to be that many healthy options! I can already get some items from Tesco/Waitrose and my local (tiny!) Holland and Barrett but I would also love to be able to get hold of some different healthy options (like Quinoa O’s or those peanut butter cookies you had). Anyway, to cut to the chase I really just want to know if there are any online retailers you have used/would recommend that carry a wide range of healthy foods. So far the only one I’ve used is Natural Balalnce Foods for ordering Nakd and TREK bars (delish and I can’t get enough of the Nakd Cocoa Orange and Ginger Bread bars – definately recommended!!). Thanks : )

Hi Freya! Do you think you could make a post on how you felt after becoming a vegan? I’m considering taking the plunge soon but I’m afraid I’ll lose weight. I know you researched it quite a bit before making your decision and I was hoping you could share some of your wisdom with the world :D
    Thanks!

Hi Freya! Could you talk a little bit about how you managed to gain weight and maintain while running and eating a whole foods based diet? I currently need to gain a bit of weight but am finding it to be a challenge while running (about 15 miles a week). Any tips would be much appreciated! Thanks! (:

    Hi Freya!

I’ve followed your blog since the time you kept your food diary on theskinnywebsite! I was so glad you started a blog, I think your eats are awesome!! :) What I would like to ask is about running!! It is a lifelong ambition of mine to run a marathon!! I have wanted to start running for ages but I really don’t know how to go about it! Do you have any tips on when you should increase your distance? What distance do you think I should begin with etc. And how long were you running before you completed your first marathon?! Any tips you could give would be great!! :) Thank you!! :D

    Hi Freya!

I’ve been reading your blog for some time now, and I love it, especially your sense of humor in your writing :)

Anyway, I’m going to be studying abroad at Kingston University in the fall (I’m from America), and I was wondering if you could give me some pointers/places to go in London or England in general?

    Thanks!

Ahh how awesome!! You’ll have a great time :-)
Hmm…well, London wise I’d say go to Kensington Whole Foods cos it’s massive :p And just do the whole tourist thing – Borough Market, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, uumm….museums…tbh, I don’t know London all that well! Just make sure you go to Oxford St and do some shopping, and you’ll be fine :p
As for England in general? I have no idea! I don’t really see England as being very interesting, but it totally depends on what you want to see (ie if you like history, or the beach or whatever).
Regardles of what you do, you’ll have an ace – and cold – time here :D

Hey i’ve been reading your blog for a while and I notice that you’re a fantastic runner. I’m on the cross country team at my school, and this is my second year running. I’ve been training for this season since Feb of this year and I got 300 miles in over the summer, but i’m still as slow as last year. I’ve been doing speedwork and everything, but I cant bring my 5k dow from a 27. Its super frustrating because I’m trying so hard but with no results. How do you bring down your mile time and keep it at a consistant pace?

    • Comment by Brit Chick Runs:

Hello! Gosh sorry for not replying sooner :-(
What kind of speed work do you do? In all honesty, I’m not a good person to ask for advice about speed because I don’t have a clue about how long an interval should be etc! I’ve got a coach now, who I’m learning a lot from already about speed work, so in 3 months I’ll better be able to answer your question!! It might be worth asking Sweet Tooth Runner, because she is seriously fast and I bet she’d have some good tips!
      Good luck :-)

Hi!! I was really wondering (as a fellow Brit), where on Earth you get things like almond milk, chia seeds, cacao, flavoured nut-butters, peanut flour, any other different ingredients I may have missed , etc.. in the U.K?? I can’t seem to find these things anywhere!! Any tips would be awesome help!! Thanks!!
    P.S. Great blog!!

      Hello!
Uh, from a long way away!! The peanut flour I bought in the US and got from a blog-swap, but you can aslo get it on iherb.com. They ship to England and compared to most international companies, have pretty good shipping rates. They also stock everything else you just said.
Chia seeds you can buy online in the UK fairly cheaply (set a Google date), and nutritional yeast and other yummy things I buy in either Whole Foods (in London) or at my local health food store. Google ones in your area – they’r enormally hidden away quite well, but they are there :-)
Goodness Direct.com and Planet Organic are also super for ordering from online.
Good luck and thanks forr eading! xx
